Senior Finance Analyst

As the inventory analyst, you will be responsible for the overall management of day-to-day stock accounting and financial oversight of inventory flows across the business. This includes owning the monthly stock reconciliation process across multiple third-party logistic partner sites and customer locations, ensuring inventory records are complete, accurate, and timely.
In this role, you will actively manage the stock position to provide the business with a reliable and up‑to‑date view of inventory value, location and quantity, supporting strong financial control, decision‑making and operational confidence.

What you’ll do

•    Prepare and analyse regular inventory reports, including stock levels, aging, slow‑moving/obsolete inventory, and valuation.
•    Identify inventory risks/trends and investigate stock variance drivers, and provide clear explanations to the Head of Finance – Finance Operations
•    Own and manage the monthly inventory reconciliation process across all warehouses, 3PL partners, and customer locations
•    Ensure alignment between physical inventory, ERP/system records, and general ledger balances
•    Perform month‑end close activities relating to inventory, including balance sheet reconciliations and cut-off procedures
•    Prepare inventory journals, adjustments, and accruals in line with accounting standards and company policies
•    Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for internal and external audits relating to stock and inventory controls
•    Where necessary, support periodic stocktakes, perpetual inventory counts, and follow‑up of discrepancies
•    Investigate, analyze, and resolve stock variances, discrepancies, and write‑offs in a timely manner, and maintain an appropriate audit trail
•    Work with the Technology Sourcing and other operational teams to resolve data integrity issues, where necessary
•    Review and validate stock reports received from logistics partners and customers
•    Support working capital optimization initiatives through accurate inventory visibility
•    Act as a key point of contact for inventory‑related queries from local operations, Group Finance, and the 3rd-party logistics provider
•    Identify opportunities to improve inventory reporting, analysis, and control processes
•    Input into defining the finance requirements for future system enhancements and ERP upgrades related to inventory accounting, where necessary

What you’ll need
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
•    3–6 years of experience in inventory accounting and stock reconciliations for multi-location inventory, 3rd party logistic environments, and customer held stock

Skills & Competencies
•    Strong knowledge of Local GAAP, with a focus on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
•    Extensive knowledge of stock accounting and warehouse management for product-based businesses 
•    Strong stakeholder management across finance, operations, and external partners
•    High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
•    Ability to manage large data sets and reconcile complex inventory flows
•    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
•    Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and control environment.
•    Knowledge of business software including MS Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint, and ERP Platforms – SAP experience is highly desirable.
