Senior L&D Consultant

Computacenter has opened up a new interesting opportunity for a senior L&D Consultant


Accountabilities (include % of time) 

Responsible for design, introduction and continuous improvement of the personnel development architecture at Computacenter (60%)

  • Identifies training and development needs of managers and employees at Computacenter
  • Submits proposals for the implementation of development measures including costs, required resources, risks and schedules
  • Designs training and development solutions that meet the identified requirements in the most effective way (time, cost, added value)
  • Checks the quality of all external service providers used in personnel development through relationship management and Feedback from the provision and use of materials, including the administrative work involved in training programmes:
  • advises senior management on training and development issues arising from the staff development programmes, and either recommends solutions, addresses the need together with senior management or sets up solutions to meet the need
  • Evaluates the appropriateness of the programme on an ongoing basis and makes necessary adjustments
  • Measures the effectiveness of the programme and reports findings within HR and to senior management (including administrative staff) work)
  • Advises managers professionally in the development of management, employees and teams
  • Plans, organises and conducts training according to the focus (leadership, technical training, etc.) including administrative work


Responsible together with other members of L & D for the success of L & D initiatives/projects (20 %):

  • Concerns the active management of a project or initiative and/or participation in a group delivering a project or initiative.
  • Successful delivery includes the above activities.


Responsible together with other members of the L & D department (10 %):

  • For quality of tools, processes and communication at L & D
  • Stabilises and maintains the competent reputation of L&D in the company.
  • Efficient cooperation within L & D
  • Efficient cooperation with HR and the rest of the company


Contribution to training and development strategy (10%) by identifying business needs and understanding the Corporate Strategy

Knowledge & Key Skills


  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a training and development role
  • Previous experience in a training and development consultancy or trainer role
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Prior experience in initiating, designing and implementing training and development projects
  • Experience in the development of people
  • High energy and dynamic
  • Distinct abilities in facilitation, presentation and influence
  • Team player
  • ability to train staff at all levels
  • Results-oriented
  • Good project knowledge including experience in drafting project proposals
  • Customer-focused



  • At least 4 years of professional experience in designing, delivering and evaluating L-&-D interventions
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in designing, developing and rolling out management

development programs won in a customer-focused environment

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Good initiative
  • Commercial know-how and cost awareness
