What you'll do 

 

As a Principal Consultant, you will operate both as part of a team and as a technical lead, taking ownership from initial concept through to delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Enterprise Project Delivery

  • Design advisory and technical guidance
  • Detailed design development and solution delivery
  • Ownership of high-level designs to ensure solutions are correctly documented and implemented

 

Pre-Sales & Solution Shaping

  • Requirements gathering and technical workshops
  • Solution definition and architecture
  • Technical costings and estimations
  • Governance representation and stakeholder engagement

 

Customer Engagement

  • On-site, customer-facing consultancy activities
  • Building and maintaining strong, trusted customer relationships
  • Delivering outcome-based solutions (not just diagrams)

 

Professional Excellence

  • Production of high-quality technical documentation
  • Strong personal time, quality, and workload management
  • Confident presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

 

What you'll need 

 

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a consultant within a professional services organisation
  • Strong background in traditional enterprise networking, supported by vendor certifications
  • Hands-on expertise delivering both traditional and advanced network solutions
  • Broad understanding of network security principles and architectures
  • Proven experience leading or contributing to pre-sales engagements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, French, and English
  • Experience facilitating workshops to capture and steer customer requirements

 

Exposure to Advanced & Emerging Technologies

You will have experience with (or strong exposure to):

  • Software Defined Networking (SDN)
  • Network Security
  • Network Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Cloud Networking and Security
  • Network Observability

 

Technical Capabilities

Expected Certifications

  • Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching
  • Cisco CCNP Security
  • Palo Alto PCSNE or Fortinet FNCSE
  • Cisco ACI and/or VMware NSX-T (VCP-NV) — design and delivery

 

Desirable Networking Experience

  • Zscaler Zero Trust Certified Associate (ZTCA)
  • HP Aruba wireless and networking design & delivery
  • HP Aruba ClearPass
  • Cisco ThousandEyes (qualification, deployment, optimisation)
  • Cisco SD-WAN (Meraki and/or Viptela)
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco SDA / DNA Center
  • Extreme Networks
  • Tufin and/or Skybox
  • Forescout IT/OT
  • Cloud networking and security solutions
  • SASE implementations (e.g. Zscaler ZTNA)

 

Desirable Programmability Experience

  • Terraform
