Learning & Development Consultant

About the role
The Learning & Development Consultant serves as the primary internal learning & development consultant to managers and employees to support growth of Computacenter North America. We are looking for someone with a background in Learning or organizational development or has worked on ‘people impact’ change management projects.


What you'll be doing

  • Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Provide a high level of consultancy skills to peers and customers both within the business and when working on projects.
  • Design and implement solutions in Learning, Leadership Development and Performance Management Culture at Computacenter 
  • Build trusted relationship with external suppliers and select fitting offers
  • Using knowledge of best practice and industry trends, create and implement business improvement 
  • Manage own time and workload contributing to the business strategy in order to help grow and develop the business.
  • Demonstrate a creative and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Working closely and as part of the HR team especially in collaboration with HR BPs, maintaining confidentiality in all business-related matters
  • Establish productive relationships and networks with business leaders 
  • Work with HRBP’s and business leaders on people development
  • Be flexible with occasional European/UK travel.
  • Contribute to business strategy in order to help grow and develop the business
  • Demonstrate a creative and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Develop effective working relationships through influencing and advising 
  • Advise on and implement the adoption of CC best practice and service offerings to ensure consistency of service.  
  • Act in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks to the organization.
  • Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.


What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in experience      
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Proven track record of work experience in a challenging commercial environment
  • Experience in dealing with and influencing multi-tier management
  • Experience of developing best practice policies and procedures for functional area
  • Good knowledge and experience of SAP, MS Office and MS Teams
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
  • Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language
  • Good self-organization and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously
  • Can build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasm
  • Resilience, and able to deal with stressful situations
  • Business and financial acumen with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of product supply chains
  • Commercially astute
  • Team-oriented working and thinking
