Senior Windows System Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join the TRG team! 
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining new and existing systems and infrastructure. You will be a member of our core engineering team, and will have an opportunity to advance in your career.  


The standard scope of this role includes : 

  • Plan and implement new systems
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Manage and deliver root cause assessments for complex technical issues
  • Use diagnostic tools to determine deficiencies
  • Interaction with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Suggest new ideas and solutions to problems
  • Maintain and constantly improve existing systems
  • Participate in security management
  • Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices
  • Attend customer meetings to ensure and understanding of customer requirements and to assist with knowledge transfer
  • Quality assure deliverables, as required, produced by other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy of data
  • Successful handover of technology designs and solutions to internal or customer support function
  • Providing On-Call Out of Hours Support
  • Document writing / process creation
  • Updating and Recording of activities in relevant IT Ticket Management System


The TRG Team is looking for an IT professional with the following technical skills: 

  • Very good understanding and knowledge of networking and application-level operations
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting:

•   Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016
•    UNIX /Linux based environments.
•    Virtualization technologies (VMWare ESX)
•    Clustering
•    Cloud Computing – Azure 
•    Server Hardware
•    High SCOM, WSUS,  SCCM knowledge
•    Server solutions (Exchange, SQL, Terminal Services (RDS), IIS, AD, DNS, DHCP).
•    Experience with monitoring systems & automation software
•    Active Directory experience: ADFS, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Domains, Forrest, Domain Controller Roles, DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP/ADSI, Kerberos and Schemas
•    PKI and Certificate Management
•    Anti-virus technologies
•    EMC Networker

Pre-Requisites & Experience 

•    Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
•    Good English Level (mínimum B2)

•    Certificates: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), ITIL: ITIL Foundation v4, VMWare Certification

•    5 years of experience on a similar role
