Senior VCS Technical Specialist
About the role
The Senior VCS Technical Specialist will be a subject matter expert (SME) on a solution area/category, with substantive depth on a few core technical/solution elements. They will bring technical credibility to solutions and provide the sales teams go-to-market support. Additionally, responsible for maintaining technical vendor relationships with our key partners and stay abreast of the respective new solutions advancements
What you'll be doing
- Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values
- Provide deep subject matter expertise and have the desire and ability to complete tactical work
- Establishes and maintains relationships with vendor partners at all levels within the organization
- Maintains advanced level knowledge of service and solution offerings specific for partners and is customer facing resource for sales activities alongside sales and pre-sales resources
- Create complex bill of materials (BOM) for technical solutions and provides guidance in response to sales requests from ServiceNow
- Maintains expert-level licensing and program (certifications, partner tiers, renewals, deal registrations, etc.) knowledge
- Works regionally and globally with other alliance resources focused on strengthening knowledge and capabilities of Computacenter with the OEM
- Engage with sales and presales to develop credibility and help build out technical solutions
- Stay current on technical solutions and engage with vendors as necessary
- Ensure proposed solutions are valid, department SLA’s are met with exceptional customer experience
- Works with peers to advise and recommend on future technology and services
- Understands and promotes both in house services, as well as service capabilities with 3rd party services partners
- Works closely with vendors and partners to keep up to date with current and future technologies, products, and strategies to mange the solution provisions lifecycle
- Maintain high level of industry awareness through training and self-development

What you have
- Strong knowledge of the hardware and software industry, assigned partner, and their competitive position
- 3-5 years of presales engineering and solutioning experience
- Vendor certifications required and if not, must be willing to complete certifications
- BS or BA degree preferred in the field of Business Administration, Information Technology (IT) and/or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to design in-depth, complex technical solutions
- Relevant industry leading qualification or accreditations in one or more technology
- In-depth knowledge of IT Infrastructure technology and its business application
- Demonstrable ability to provide input into commercial/technical documents and to develop solution specific business cases
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Industry leading knowledge in specialist technology area
- High self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Understand and adhere to policies and procedures
