Senior Deal Architect, Device Lifecycle
About the role
You will be responsible and accountable for the cross-organizational solution & service designs including technology, services, transition, transformation, resourcing and processes for complex, multinational IT managed services / outsourcing deals.
What you'll be doing
- Qualifying IT managed services opportunities through pre-sales by participating in both the analysis of customer requirements and customer specific campaigns including marketing support.
- Solutioning architecture & design to support the sales team to create a winning strategy by developing IT service solution, sales campaign, and delivery strategies.
- Developing and documenting innovative and cost-efficient end-to-end solution & service designs (technical, operational, commercial).
- Leading the pre-sales pursuit team and delegating subject matter experts to manage the service design process ensuring internal and external milestones of a sales campaign are met.
- Providing leadership and coordination of the overall pre-sales / pursuit / service design team, as well as detailed service architecture decisions from the participating team members.
- Accountable for overall deal cost as consolidated by the Financial Architect.
- Supporting sales specialist in the assessment & validation of overall cost consolidation with respect to market / price benchmarks and target pricing.
- Presenting and negotiating of Services Solution Design.
- Accountable for steering and leading the commercial negotiations with support from the overall bid team.
- Ensuring overall consistency of the services solution design.
- Accountable for the quality enhancements of service & solution design including customer facing collateral.
- Supporting transition & transformation during service delivery initiation and handover to service management after contract closure.
- Leading pursuit team members and external partners to create innovative new service & solution designs.
What you have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or applied computer science, economics, business administration or similar) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT Services with a minimum of 4 years as a Solution Manager, or equivalent, within IT managed services & outsourcing.
- Experience within pre-sales and solution design processes including ownership for decision making and accountability for complex, international managed services engagements.
- Experience in designing in complex service integration and management environments.
- Experience in transition and transformation programs as well as service management and/or sales.
- Deep knowledge project management including risk and change management.
- Knowledge of IT and industry standards (ITIL, IT4IT, COBIT).
- Technical writing capabilities.
- Experience in managing, motivating, and driving cross-organizational and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
