Lead Deal Commercial Architect
About the role
Lead Deal Commercial Architect (LDCA) is responsible for the development and completion of service commercials (costing and pricing) within Computacenter commercial policies. LDCA will be required to co-ordinate costing input from multiple internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, may be directly engaged with the customer as part of the contractual negotiations.
What you'll be doing
- Overall ownership of deal commercials and costing/pricing output in line with company’s commercial policy.
- Trustworthy authority on commercial deal matters and expertise for both internal and external audiences
- Production and ownership of proforma (income statement) and pricing scenarios, including analysis, recommendations and considerations of different margin approaches.
- Creation of customer facing pricing artifacts and reporting.
- Validation of overall deal assumptions as part of sales pursuits as well ensuring that the agreed to service design (solution) is reflected in the costs.
- Providing expert advice and assistance on determining pricing strategies and charging mechanisms that align with business goals and customer needs.
- Work with the Lead Deal Architect to develop the solution from an end-to-end commercial perspective based on understanding of customer specific business needs / requirements and budgets.
- Operating as a Subject Matter Expert in all matters of commercial best practices including, but not limited to, accounting principles such as indexation, taxation, international billing, financing, amortization, payment profiles, currency/exchange rates and intercompany margin.
- Understanding and managing the financial aspects of pricing products and services such as financial statements, costs, cash flows and sales forecasts.
- Identification and quantification of commercial risk and opportunity.
- Arbiter of company Commercial Policy and expertise in our pre-approved commercial, operational & financial terms and the consequences of deviating from these standards.
- Key contributor to commercial explanation and pricing negotiations in customer sales sessions and proposal writing
- Presence on executive checkpoints (deal reviews) and contribution to wider governance.
- Liaise with and influence other teams and senior stakeholders to remove barriers to quality, success and understanding and identification of opportunities for deal optimization.

What you have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance
- Minimum 10 + years’ experience in the commercial capacity, preferably with large IT Outsourcing Global companies
- Good understanding of market and competitive pricing as related to IT Services outsourcing
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written – credible at all levels of the organization and in different country contexts
- Excellent command of the English language – both written and verbal
- Legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Good knowledge of other Microsoft Office products
- Good decision making and independent thinking
- Attention to detail and ability to self-check work
- Proactivity and curiosity
- Ability to organize own workload and manage competing priorities
- Cope with pressure and short deadlines
- Willingness to work outside regular hours and flexibility to travel
- Ability to understand and use IT cost models and solutions

- Understanding of contractual language and structure
