Service Offering Manager

Position Overview

The Service Engineering Manager is chartered with helping develop and evolve Professional Services Offerings as Computacenter rapidly scales its business in the USA. With Quality, Consistency, Scalability, and Innovation as our core objectives we seek an experienced Services Manager who has the requisite experience across Project Management, SDLC, Consulting and Product Management to join our team. This new function will require a significant amount of collaboration across business groups, comfort with large change programs and the creativity to consistently execute and meet our projected growth trajectory.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic development of the Professional Services Catalog and specific solution areas as defined and agreed within the Professional Services virtual team
  • Working alongside the Professional Services Leadership team to identify opportunities for new solutions to be developed, undertaking market research, developing business justifications and plan for required development activity
  • Engage with internal service providers, e.g., Sales and Solutioning, to ensure awareness of business strategy and propositions and ensure a managed plan exists to create necessary skills and capabilities in line with the solution business plan
  • Develop necessary catalog development artefacts, project plans, service methodology, service descriptions, consultancy tooling, resource models, process flows, cost models and RACI, dependencies, assumptions, and work with other ISPs to align with their Go to market execution plans and supporting collateral (Interlock).
  • Develop mechanisms to support the education of new solutions to enable the PS delivery organization, as well as other key stakeholders on the respective service development
  • Measure effectiveness of developments in terms of wins, achieved revenues, loss, and evolve solutions as required to remain competitive, current and market relevant
  • Responsible for win stories, references and identifying the value our service solutions bring to our customers
  • Work in conjunction with Sales Solutioning/Marketing teams to ensure technical and solution collateral is translated into customer messaging accurately.
  • Incubate relevant services with live customers in collaboration with Solution-Sales teams and Professional Services
  • Assist in the Identification of vendor relationships from a technology perspective, ensuring an understanding of their offerings, the competition in order that Computacenter can build differentiating propositions to meet the needs of our customers
  • Identify internal Intellectual Property, data collection or other service synergies that have not been effectively productized or monetized and be able to build a business case to support investment and development.
  • If needed, engage, and contribute to early customer opportunities for new solution areas, ensuring a “two-way feed” such that the solutions that have been developed are aligned to customers’ needs and ensuring that customer requirements are fed back into the development cycle
  • Creation of thought leadership and contribute to marketing plan to support Computacenter strategy and Go to Market propositions for Professional Services
  • Maintain high level of industry awareness through training, conferences, and self-development
  • Active engagement in and contribution to Corporate Product Management groups and standards from a broader Solutions perspective
  • Develop and maintain road map for respective offerings
  • Ensure PS solutions integrate into relevant and appropriate managed services, working with Group Development and Capability towers to ensure alignment

 

Education and Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3-5 years and a Master’s degree
  • Ideal experience would have come from a Consulting organization, or Major IT Services, Integrator, Outsourcer or Reseller
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or Service engineering Manager in process management, optimization, and/or tool implementation
  • Strong analytical acumen with curiosity to explore what problems need to be solved
  • Experience with process design, development, & assessing solutions from multiple angles
  • Skilled at developing and exercising cross-functional influence, collaborating across teams to assess, implement, and improve processes
  • Experience with end-to-end business process mapping, information flow modeling, and workflow analysis, to identify areas of inefficiency, gaps, and bottlenecks
  • An understanding of data in a complex enterprise system landscape, including quality assurance and synchronization.
  • Ability to lead impactful programs independently under concurrent deadlines
  • Knowledge of project management best practices, including change management, solution roll out and training
