This critical new role sits within the Transition and Transformation (T&T) team, a core part of Group Managed Services (GMS). This is the senior expert role in the area of T&T within the organization.
As a Programme Manager you will be responsible for the successful outcome and delivery of Managed Services transitions and transformations (to agreed quality, time, and budget constraints).
The Programme Managers often need to collaborate strongly with the Customer Exec roles where the deal is of significant scale or complexity, ensuring that their T&T Practice resource requirements and business outcomes are achieved.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of transition and transformation IT projects (Managed Services), ensuring delivery within agreed scope, budget, and timelines
- Lead programmes from pre-sales through implementation untill BAU, including creating transition plans and governance frameworks
- Organize kick-off meetings with clients and internal teams; oversee post-contract verification
- Manage risks, dependencies, and budgets; prepare financial and status reports
- Collaborate with key stakeholders – Sales, Delivery, and client executives at C-level
- Ensure service readiness and execute cutover and handover to Service Management
- Apply best practices and share lessons learned within the T&T team
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing transition processes within Managed Services (IT/Service Desk)
- Fluent in English and German (min. C1)
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Prince2 Foundation, Agile or equivalent; Practitioner is a plus)
- Proven ability to manage complex projects end-to-end, including financial control and governance
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage at C-level
- Willingness to travel frequently internationally for client meetings and programme needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
- Ability to work in a global, matrixed environment
