Manager, Professional Services Partnerships
About the role
The Manager of Professional Services Partnerships is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing a strategic partner network that enhances our service delivery capabilities. This role focuses on driving value into the organization by streamlining partner engagement, consolidating spend to gain financial leverage, and negotiating favorable rates and incentives, such as rebates. The Manager ensures consistency, quality, and compliance across partner relationships while aligning partnerships with the business's strategic goals. As a leader, they will oversee the Partner Management team, fostering collaboration across practices and supporting initiatives to maximize the value of external partnerships.
What you'll be doing
- Partner Strategy and Development:
- Oversee the strategic direction and growth of the professional services partner network to align with organizational delivery goals.
- Develop and execute a consolidated spend strategy that enhances partner leverage and drives financial value through incentives, rebates, and rate optimization.
- Rate and Incentive Negotiation:
- Lead complex partner negotiations to secure favorable rates, financial incentives, and long-term agreements that improve delivery margins and cost efficiency.
- Performance Oversight and Measurement:
- Establish and oversee partner performance metrics, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across the partner network.
- Regularly review and evaluate partner performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to deepen strategic relationships.
- Process Streamlining and Improvement:
- Develop and implement standardized processes for partner engagement, onboarding, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine workflows, reduce friction points, and improve partner alignment with delivery needs.
- Financial Oversight and Reporting:
- Monitor and report on partner-related financials, including spend analysis, cost savings, rebate tracking, and ROI on partner investments.
- Provide visibility into partner expenditures and ensure alignment with budgetary goals and organizational priorities.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the Partner Management team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and support to drive team performance.
- Foster collaboration with practices and other stakeholders to ensure partner capabilities are aligned with evolving delivery requirements.
What you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree (MBA) preferred but not required.
- Previous VAR or OEM experience required
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in partner/vendor management, procurement, or professional services operations, with a strong emphasis on contract negotiations and financial oversight.
- Proven experience managing teams and leading strategic initiatives within a matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing partner strategies that consolidate spend, secure financial incentives, and improve service delivery performance.
- Experience with performance measurement frameworks, process improvement, and financial reporting related to vendor/partner ecosystem.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with internal delivery teams.
- Familiarity with tools and platforms related to vendor/partner management and reporting (e.g., SAP, FieldGlass, or similar systems).
- Strong negotiation and financial acumen to optimize costs and maximize value.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and evaluate partner performance.
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- Process-oriented with experience in developing streamlined operational workflows.
- Familiarity with vendor management systems and financial reporting tools
