Cisco Solution Manager

Position Overview

The Cisco Solution Manager's primary focus will be on Channel development, sales and technical, Business Development as well as solution design, configuration and support assistance to both Sales and Engineering staff.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Align with one or more strategic Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) business partners to drive programs within Computacenter United States. that drive results and create business value.
  • Understand all aspects of OEM’s Channel program including but not limited to contracts, pricing, deal registration, rebates, portals, configuration tools and go-to-market strategies.
  • Champion OEM solutions throughout Computacenter United States
  • Assist in training and educating of both engineers and sales representatives on OEM products and solutions.
  • Track progress and report on Computacenter United States progress towards OEM provided goals.
  • Create and execute an OEM aligned Marketing program that includes but is not limited to events, advertising, technical labs, technical workshops, etc.
  • Ensure that Marketing activities are organized and executed in accordance with OEM and Computacenter United States. guidelines
  • Ensure timely reimbursement to Computacenter United States for OEM marketing activities.
  • Understand and abide by all security and operational polices.
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.

 

Education & Experience Required

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Pre-Sales Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years as an engineering consultant, outside systems engineer or similar.
  • Possess and be able to expand extensive knowledge about the practice and Computacenter United States’ solutions and be able to communicate these to the customers.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • The ability to understand all aspects of OEM Channel programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present in a group setting.
  • Professional self-starter, able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Project a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions.
  • Good knowledge of the industry channel dynamics.
  • Possess a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Prefer a strong working knowledge of Microsoft-Office and Internet.
