Second Line Windows Patch and Deployment Specialist

We’re hiring for a Second Line Windows Patch and Deployment Specialist in our Global Infrastructure Operations division where you’ll provide remote patch and deployment services to some of our key clients.

The Global Infrastructure Operations Division forms the core for Infrastructure Support for most of the Contractual Services delivered to our customers from Event Management through to Data Centres. Over the last few years Computacenter has been successful in winning more and more complex Managed Service contracts and their entire IT infrastructure is managed and supported by Computacenter.
This role requires MS SCCM 2012 r2 preferably exposure to or knowledge of SCCM Current Branch. You will be expected to work independently in order to help transition a customer into business as usual, providing support using SCCM CB. 
Applicants must be or have the ability to undertake Security Clearance (SC).

Role Responsibility
As part of your role you will liaise with internal ISPs and clients, provide comprehensive reporting of patch and deployment progress against SLAs, produce operational and management information regarding toolset status, deliver a standard approach to Windows security patch management and software deployment, ensure SLA attainment through accurate process adherent together with reporting and escalation of failed or pending deployments, log incidents and /or changes to carry out remedial work or repeat deployments.
You will also be responsible to ensure incidents are logged and tracked to support failed or problem deployments to particular devices, maintain all administrative documentation as requested.

The Ideal Candidate
You will have experience with Microsoft SCCM deployment (2012 onwards) and other patch management toolsets as well as with Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems Windows Server 2008 or newer operating systems and respective component support, Microsoft Active Directory and ITIL disciplines.
You are also likely to have knowledge of security patch management, software deployment, deployment troubleshooting as well as management and customer reporting.
You have been exposed to SCCM OSD deployments and troubleshooting, 1e Nomad, Microsoft App V deployments, Windows 10 deployment models, Office 365 deployment.
SQL and VB scripting, MBAM, Excel or Access skills we be considered as advantages
