Life on the team

 

There is a new opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to join Computacenter as a Team Manager. This role requires one to be comfortable and accountable for their own work and have experience in managing, developing, and coaching a team of staff and implement performance management solutions where required. The team is within Group Delivery – Digital Infrastructure based in Hatfield, Nottingham, Milton Keynes and onsite with our customers. You would be required to manage teams in Hatfield, Nottingham and Milton Keynes with the occasional visit to customer sites as required. Someone located near to Nottingham or Milton Keynes would be ideal. 

 

What you'll do

  • Develop and motivate the team to help ensure the delivery of function and business targets.
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching and objectives align with Computacenter  strategy.
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics using internal systems.
  • Take responsibility for the teams output in line with governance and contractual compliance.
  • Recognise high performance and reward accomplishments.
  • Evaluate problems, situations, issues and opportunities then escalate when necessary.
  • Act as a point of escalation on complex issues and provide appropriate support to team members or peer group.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all business-related matters and adhere to Computacenter security policies.
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure best practice and continual improvement in delivery of service to the business.
  • Establish productive relationships and networks at Senior Management level to build and maintain customer relationships.

 

What you'll need

  • Previous experience in line management.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a proactive approach to driving team performance.
  • Ability to evolve services for customers and improve internal processes and efficiencies.
  • Understanding of the commercial implications of service delivery.
  • Capability to report on and govern team output and impact.
  • Proven experience in relationship building at diverse organizational levels.
  • Solid understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Competency in MS Office tools, with a proven record of effective usage.
  • Knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs).
  • Familiarity with Managed Operating Systems (advantageous).
