Vendor Configuration Services Manager

About the role
The Technical Specialist Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Technical Specialists for the Vendor Configuration Services Team (VCS) within the US. The team provides technical solutions for our customers working closely with Sales, Presales, and Partner Management while maintaining OEM vendor relationships with our key partners.

 

Salary range: $100K USD

 

What you'll be doing

  • Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values
  • Develop and motivate staff to help ensure the delivery of department and company goals
  • Provide positive and effective leadership that drives change, innovation, and growth across the department
  • Manages, develops, and coaches team to facilitate personal growth
  • Prepares monthly reports to measure key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Ensure systems and processes are in place to monitor workload of the team
  • Setting strategic long and short-term departmental goals and evaluating outcomes
  • Work cross functionally with internal departments to manage and resolve inquiries when necessary
  • Identify process deficiencies and suggest improvements in a proactive manner
  • Schedule regular 1:1 meeting with team
  • Engage with Sales and Presales, develop credibility and help build out technical solutions
  • Stay current on technical solutions and engage with vendors as necessary
  • Attend all meetings and completion of tasks relevant to position
  • Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support departmental and company objectives that are consistent with Winning Together values
  • Provide employee feedback for annual performance reviews 
  • Establish performance and development objectives in Success factors
  • Ensure department SLA are met with exceptional customer experience
  • Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and provide solution guidance in response to requests from Sales and Presales 
  • Maintain high level of industry awareness through training and self-development
  • Ensure that proposed solutions are valid and meet Customer needs
  • Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.
  • Promote good working relationships and collaboration across comparable teams in CC Group to improve processes and provide additional resources 

 

What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in the field of Information Technology (IT) and/or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 5-10 years of experience managing teams in the product business, datacenter, or networking industry or similar experience
  • 3-5 years of presales engineering and solutioning experience
  • Vendor certifications as required
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to design in-depth, complex technical solutions
  • Relevant industry leading qualification or accreditation in one or more technology
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Industry leading knowledge in specialist Technology area
  • Experience managing a team of people
  • Commercially astute experience or comparable qualification
  • Ensure department meets SLA, KPI performance targets
  • Maintain & improve team satisfaction levels
  • High self-motivation and ability to work independently 
  • Understand and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates winning together values
