Senior Contracts Paralegal

About the role
The Contracts Paralegal is responsible for managing the administration of a variety of customer facing agreements, as well as vendor agreements and other complex agreements. This position works closely with a variety of internal teams to support the contract process from start to finish.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Manage the administration of the review, analysis, proofreading, and redlining of agreements.
  • Ensure the maintenance of contract templates in computer system; update contract templates as needed.
  • Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for simple contracts.
  • Safeguard the maintenance of contracts database
  • Interact with clients and participate in the contract negotiation process
  • Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure contractual terms and conditions are acceptable and serve to minimize risk.
  • Oversee team so Contracts Team acts as the point of first contact for the Legal team to promote internal and external customer service.
  • Work with internal teams to enforce and train on proper contract procedures
  • Manage requests for proposals.
  • Responsible for company-wide training on proper contract procedures.
  • Ensure all processes are documented and updated regularly.
  • Track authorizations and correspondence.
  • Exercise independent judgment to ensure that the dissemination of information is made to appropriate employees regarding contract status.
  • Provide appropriate reporting to management as needed.
  • Provide contract summaries as requested and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform other administrative tasks requested by manager.

What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a corporate office managing contracts or working in the legal field.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Exceptional customer service skills; able to support both internal and external customers.
  • Proactive customer service.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
  • Adept at handling interruptions and multi-tasking during high-volume periods.
  • Excellent computer skills, including CRM systems, ERP Systems, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must have good organization and communication skills, as they must manage communication between people with different training and skill sets to allow them to work together effectively.
  • Must be able to exercise the utmost discretion due to the confidential nature of tasks assigned.
  • Outgoing personality with top-notch organizational, time-management, and follow up skills.
  • Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be comfortable performing required tasks as assigned.
  • Able to take direction from multiple people.
  • Able to work effectively and cooperatively on a team
