Position Overview

As the SAP Purchasing Procedure Specialist, you will identify areas in which solutions can be put forward for consideration to improve performance and satisfaction. In this role, you will communicate to these to group global colleagues of which you will work closely with. You will also provide training, be responsible for documenting processes and procedures, and performing testing on tool enhancements and processes.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide support in key Inside Sales functions, including complex order placement and management through configuration, delivery request to invoicing while utilizing our internal systems and tools. 
  • Provide day to day training and is a source of knowledge and guidance to the Inside Sales team from end to end quote to invoice cleared.
  • Assist, encourage and enable the sales teams to evaluate their requirements and determine solutions that meet the defined objectives.
  • Close working partnership with Inside Sales teams and cross stream business areas is essential for the successful delivery of this role. 
  • Proactive knowledge and understanding of Computacenter’s best practices and processes within the Sales and Inside Sales organizations. 
  • Work on assignments and business improvement projects that are complex in nature. 
  • Focused judgement and positive initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. 
  • Own to resolution attitude with open communication channels and can promote intuitive ways to knowledge transfer across the team. 
  • Create and update SAP documentation for the Inside Sales team.
  • Maintain, create and update SAP process and training documentation, written and visual for the Inside Sales team. 
  • Communicate, document and demonstrate new processes and business change request releases. 
  • Attend, participate and communicate to peers the outcome and actions from discovery sessions, meetings and/or conferences.
  • Business process aligned equally ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved. 

 

Education & Experience Required

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Requires 2-5 years of experience building queries in SAP.
  • Extensive SAP Experience In: Material Master, Purchasing of SD module (sales and distribution), API integration (cXML, EDI) , SRM (Supplier Relationship Management)
  • SAP or ERP implementation experience, either as a consultant or as a user, would be beneficial. 
  • Ariba capabilities on the supply side.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge and experience of SAP, Salesforce CRM, MS Office and MS Teams.
  • Purchasing SME.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
  • Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language.
  • Good self-organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Can build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Resilience, and able to deal with stressful situations.
  • Business and financial acumen with strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of product supply chains.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Team-oriented working and thinking.
  • Willingness to travel.
