GIS Integration Developer
About the role
The Integration Developer is responsible for the design, implementation and support of integration solutions within Group Information Services (GIS). Success in this role requires the ability to independently plan, prioritize, and execute work within established timelines and leadership direction, while maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and accountability. The role also requires strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders, a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, and a collaborative approach that supports team objectives. A structured, analytical, and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making is essential to delivering consistent business results.
What you'll be doing
Implementation of integrations (75 %)
- Creates or amends integration solutions in accordance to the respective specifications and plans
- Plans and develops tests and carries them out. Eliminates errors and performs tests again to achieve an error-free result
- Documents all work according to agreed standards
- Performs, if necessary, together with others, tests the respective deliverables
- Can quickly process and apply new technical information as required
- Participates in reviews of his own work
- Is largely autonomous in his own activities.
Support after implementation (20%)
- Establishes ongoing working relationships with various customers (internal).
- Captures and investigates system problems as required, solves system problems, and forwards problems to support and development teams/third party suppliers.
- Where necessary, develops proposals for system changes in connection with service improvements and feeds these back into the pre-sales cycle.
- Takes care of service requests
- Coordinates and implements changes to the system configuration according to the agreed specifications.
- Documents requests for improvements, communicates requests to development teams.
Customer management (internal) (5 %)
- Acts as a personal contact for the implementation of system requirements in respect to their own projects
- Carries out regular reviews with the relevant business project managers
- Prepares progress reports on activities and distributes them to the team leader
- Tracks changes in relevant business areas and ensures that systems are adapted to business operations
- Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.

What you have
Knowledge and understanding of the following:
- SAP PI development experience in 7.31 and/or above
- SAP BTP Integration Suite experience
- Ability to read/write SQL
- Ability to read/write XSLT
- Ability to read/write XQuery
- Ability to read/write XPath
- Ability to read/write Groovy
- Experience with EDI EDIFACT and ANSIX12 standards
- Experience with cXML and xCBL XML standards
- Experience with SuccessFactors integrations
- Experience with SAP ECC, interfacing with IDOC’s and ProxyClasses
- Understanding of software development principles
- Appreciation of software development methodologies
- Pursues a logical and analytical approach to solving problems
- Capability in at least one programming/scripting language, e.g. ABAP, VB, C++, PowerShell, Groovy, XSLT, XQuery, SQL...
- Methods and procedures for planning, creating and performing tests for program components and assemblies
- Excellent knowledge and experience of integration developments in both A2A and B2B integrations
- Excellent knowledge of XML and JSON formats
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Good knowledge and experience of SAP, MS Office and MS Teams
- Expert user of at least one middleware application, with a deep understanding of integration methods
- Excellent attention to detail
- A good understanding of business processes, ideally in the procurement cycle, ITIL management
- Basic knowledge of the functionality of several different systems, both from a user and system configuration/administration perspective
- Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
- Ability to document requirements for system configuration clearly and unambiguously.
- Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language
- Good self-organization and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously
- Can build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasm
- Resilience, and able to deal with stressful situations
- Business and financial acumen with strong analytical skills
