Executive VP / CIO, North America

About the role
As part of the Group Information Services (GIS) leadership team, own the relationship with Group Tech Sourcing (GTS) globally and the Regional & Country unit leads in North America to ensure we understand their needs and drive local and central teams to deliver the GIS products and services needed. Drive the development of platforms that can be adopted globally.

 

What you'll do

  • Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for GIS regionally and GTS globally, nurturing strong partnerships with the business.
  • Work with the Technology Office to drive innovation across the region and seek to implement across the wider group. Create the vision and enterprise architecture for North America and Group TS ensuring compliance with Groupwide strategy. Develop and prioritize the roadmap of investments balancing the needs of the Group with the regional, country, and GTS needs and ensure robust business cases are developed.
  • Working with the central and local Delivery teams:
  • Act as the GIS Project Sponsor to drive the delivery of new capabilities across the region and Group TS, ensuring we launch for success, capture requirements, architect, design, build, test, implement, and drive adoption.
  • Lead the creation of product teams that can own the full lifecycle for products from strategy, through development, to operations, leveraging industry best practice standards and tools.
  • Identify opportunities for the development of platforms that can be used across the group, create the platforms, drive their adoption, and ensure they are supported and secure.
  • Working with Operations & Infrastructure, ensuring that the live services perform to specifications, resilient, and secure in line with the agreed service levels.
  • Work with the CISO and cybersecurity teams to ensure that the cybersecurity strategy meets the regional & GTS needs of our business and customers, that cybersecurity programs are delivered on time, cost, and quality, that the environment is secure and being monitored, and that the maturity levels are growing.
  • With the Office of the CIO, ensure we are managing spend, resources, risks, procurement, etc. in line with our agreed three-year forecast and annual budget.
  • Be an effective member of the GIS leadership team driving collaboration, sharing of ideas, and adoption of best practices across GIS and the group.
