Contract Reporting Specialist

About the role
The State Reporting Specialist is responsible for preparing, managing, and submitting all required reports to state agencies in compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of reporting while maintaining strong internal controls and documentation.
Key Responsibilities


What you'll be doing

  • Collect, analyze, and validate data from internal systems and stakeholders to prepare state-mandated reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all state-specific reporting requirements, deadlines, and formatting standards.
  • Track reporting calendars and maintain detailed documentation for audits and reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (finance, procurement, supplier diversity, contracts, etc.) to gather required information.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update reporting processes accordingly.
  • Maintain a repository of submitted reports and support documentation for future reference.
  • Support audits, requests for information, and compliance reviews by state agencies.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of reporting.


What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, reporting, or contract administration (state or government contract experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of state reporting requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, databases, and reporting tools; experience with ERP or contract management systems is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Strong ethical judgment and understanding of compliance obligations.
  • Skilled in handling confidential and sensitive information
