Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining accurate financial records for Computacenter United States, Inc. and subsidiaries and affiliates, including but not limited to those Computacenter subsidiaries based in Ireland, Mexico, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Process and manage invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any payment-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

 

What you have

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Associates degree in Business, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Dynamics GP, MS Office and MS Teams
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and procedures
  • Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language
  • Good self-organization and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously
  • Can build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasm
  • Resilience, and able to deal with stressful situations
  • Business and financial acumen with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of product supply chains
  • Commercially astute
  • Team-oriented working and thinking

 

Representative Activities (not exhaustive): 

  • Enters and codes manual invoices/credits
  • Communicates with sales for clarification on questionable invoices, such as duplicate billings, price variances, receiving variances, etc.
  • Reconciles and updates vendor statements
  • Maintains and updates 1099 vendors 
  • Processes all rent invoices for monthly payment
  • Backup for cutting vendor check payments
  • Active participation in process improvement projects
  • Collaborate and communicate efficiently with peers and stakeholders to ensure targets are achieved
  • Complete the daily assigned tasks within the agreed SLAs
  • Ability to priorities own workload and proactively ensure efficiency in terms of validation, invoice processing and email handling
  • Willingness to learn
  • Has a positive and proactive approach
