Product Owner/Solution Leader (Security focused)
 

Team Overview
The Office of the CTO (OCTO) Solutions development function has the mission of assisting the company by supporting our high performing sales team in customer meetings and presentations, evangelising our technology and service portfolio.  The team (and the solution leader specifically), also leads the development of technology and service developments for our service portfolio on behalf of the UK business.   

It is a key business role which supports our customers, colleagues and partners to understand the industry and Computacenter direction, and delivers growth to the business by defining and shaping services portfolio working in conjunction with our Head of Service Development, the relevant business area Chief Technologist and Business line owner.  The role requires collaborating with colleagues and partners and living our winning together values. As Solution Leader you will be aligned to the Network & Security business (focusing on security).


What you'll be doing:
•    Own the strategic development of specific solution area(Security) as defined and agreed within the OCTO Solutions virtual team
•    Working alongside the Chief Technologist for Network & Security & Head of Solution development to identify opportunities for new solutions to be developed, undertaking market research, developing business justifications and plan for required development activity
•    Engage and direct with our internal service providers, e.g. Professional Services, to ensure awareness of business strategy and propositions and ensure a managed plan exists to create necessary skills and capabilities in line with the solution business plan
•    Own the Development of the necessary development artefacts, sales presentations, sales overviews, service descriptions for service catalogue and Sales catalogue and working with ISP to develop cost models and RACI, dependencies, assumptions are created 
•    Develop the Sales Play Book to support education of new solutions and provide education and support to enable the sales force and key stakeholders on the respective development
•    Measure effectiveness of developments in terms of wins, achieved revenues, loss, and evolve solutions as required to remain competitive, current and market relevant
•    Responsible for win stories, references and customer references for their portfolio
•    Work in conjunction with Marketing teams to ensure technical and solution collateral is translated into customer messaging
•    Assist the sales force and presales teams in selling the relevant solution portfolio owned by Solution Leader
•    Evangelise in conjunction with the Customer Architect team and Line of Business Technologist teams
•    Incubate relevant services with live customers
•    Management of vendor relationships from a technology perspective, ensuring an understanding of their offerings, the competition in order that Computacenter can build differentiating propositions to meet the needs of our customers
•    Engage and lead in early customer opportunities for new solution areas, ensuring a “two-way feed” such that the solutions that have been developed are aligned to customers’ needs and ensuring that customer requirements are fed back into the development cycle 
•    Creation of thought leadership and contribute to marketing plan to support Computacenter strategy and Go To Market propositions that go across all Sectors
•    Maintain high level of industry awareness through training, conferences and self-development
•    Active engagement in and contribution to the OCTO from a broader Solutions perspective
•    Develop and maintain road map for respective offerings
•    Ensure PS solutions integrate into relevant and appropriate managed services, working with Group Development and Capability towers to ensure alignment


What you'll bring:
•    A strong technical background
•    Circa 10 years’ experience working within the Security area 
•    Excellent customer facing skills
•    Pre-sales experience desirable
•    Willingness to travel throughout the UK
