Senior Service Manager

Role Responsibility

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Service Manager to join our flourishing UK services team, to manage a Network Maintenance service being delivered for a high profile Global customer.  Reporting to the Service Director, the successful individual will be responsible for the following Network related activities:

 

  • Ownership of the Network kit Install process – managing offshore Service Manager and PMO team;
  • Technical review of Network Install requests and engagement with Customer project teams for planning purposes;
  • Ensure that newly installed items are correctly added to the maintenance contract;
  • Work with Computacenter’s Network Maintenance centre of excellent based in Germany;
  • Management of our Global Network Installation Partner – run monthly reviews, point of escalation, review of monthly charges;
  • Involvement in monthly Billing process – working with Computacenter internal Global Business Services Operations team to provide technical understanding of the Network line items and provide guidance on items to be billed.

 

This person will also provide a key leadership role within the account, being the primary technical expert within the Service Management team.  Will build strong relationships with the Customer technical stakeholders, be the technical escalation point.

 

Will provide cover for Service Director for this account and other accounts in their portfolio.

 

The Ideal Candidate

You will have demonstrable experience as Manager of IT Service Delivery teams, evidence of Budget/P&L Management capability, ability to build strong customer relationships up to Head of Function, managing contracts and senior relationships, managing and driving results through virtual teams and internal/external suppliers. Knowledge of ITIL (accreditation desirable).

 

Experience of working with remote delivery teams and customers.  Aware of cultural differences and able to adapt behaviours appropriately.

 

Technical Network expertise across multiple vendors, understanding of OEM and partner maintenance options, ability to understand Network asset and billing reports at a line item level and an understanding of the Network lifecycle from purchase and installation through to disposals.

 

Any UK base location is suitable but must be able to travel both within the UK and internationally if required.
