What you do: 
As a Senior Project Manager (SPM) in Computacenter’s Projects & Programmes Practice you will be responsible for delivering complex and/or high risk, end-to-end projects, multiple projects simultaneously or significant work-streams on larger projects and programmes. These may be standalone or delivered within a Project & Portfolio Office (PPO). You may also be required to lead a more complex Project & Portfolio Office (PPO).
You will work with the Presales team to help develop and shape the design of our solutions through project and contractual design. 
You will lead the engagement, be responsible for the business outcome and for the overall success of the change activity and will assure and govern the programme/assignment to ensure it meets Computacenter’s and the

Customer’s requirements and needs.
You will be actively involved in the development and progression of the Practice including direct involvement in shaping and driving the initiatives of the Practice.

You’ll also get to engage with other areas within Computacenter, including: Consultancy, TRG (Engineering), Global Managed Services (GMS), Service Management and the Sales teams.


What you’re responsible  for:
Your overall responsibility is for meeting the commitments made to customers and internal stakeholders to successfully deliver the assignment you are leading as defined in your terms of reference or project control documentation. 
These will be delivered alongside the agreed financial outcome of the assignment. In support of this, you’re expected to understand and articulate to customers both what Computacenter sells and delivers and have a good working knowledge of the technology/solution. 

Objectives will be set out and will be discussed regularly for each assignment or project you work on, and any questions you have you will be fully supported!

An example of objectives may include:
o    Specific assignment requirements
o    Customer satisfaction objectives
o    Delivering the products to the agreed quality, time and cost
o    Maximising contribution and delivery activities

Additional tasks will include change management, business management, contract management, and being able to responsibly and effectively manage project finances. You may also have responsibility of a team
Skills and knowledge you require: 
•    Familiarity with the latest technologies and the ability to articulate the benefits in line with Computacenter’s propositions.
•    Trained in project management methodology, for example Prince2, Agile Techniques.
•    A demonstrable track record of delivering complex, high-risk assignments/multiple successful outcomes. 
•    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships. 
•    Experience in project design, contract formulation and commercial management. 
•    Demonstrable experience in risk, issue, change and stakeholder management.
•    Able to apply a variety of influencing skills to enable the required outcomes for your stakeholders, to enable positive assignment outcomes. 
•    Ability to apply a variety of approaches including Emotional Intelligence with flexibility, to adapt personal style and approach to meet specific customer needs and to resolve conflicts. 
•    Understand and be able to articulate the wider context of the project you are leading. 
•    Ability to articulate the value of project management to internal and external customers.  
•    Track record for driving your own growth and development
