Introduction

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding Consultancy Practice within Computacenter. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a consultancy position with focus on traditional, advanced and emerging and network solutions. 
Computacenter is experiencing high growth across all our networking technology services and the position will suit a candidate that enjoys a fast moving and varied role, working into enterprise customers that require the definition and delivery of advanced technology solutions.
Whilst the candidate will be expected to demonstrate the right level of technical expertise and certification in the disciplines required, Computacenter prides itself on continuous development of our employees. By joining the team, the candidate will benefit from involvement in highly complex interesting projects but will also receive ongoing targeted training that will advance their technical knowledge and career progression.

 

Role outline and requirements:
•    Working as part of team or as the primary technical consultant to a customer engagement
o    Enterprise level project design and delivery activities
o    Onsite customer facing activities
o    Outcome based deliverables
o    High quality documentation
o    Customer relationships
o    Personal time and quality management
•    Strong traditional networking experience supported by vendor certification
•    Exposure to advanced and emerging technologies: SDN, SD-WAN, SD-Campus, Network Programmability
•    Broad understanding of network security
•    Input to pre-sales opportunities where SME knowledge is required.
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience as a consultant in a professional services organisation
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Excellent troubleshooting skills
•    Experience in attending workshops where SME knowledge is required
•    Owning low level designs to ensure the required solution is documented and delivered
•    Demonstrable hands-on expertise in delivering traditional and advanced network solutions

 

Technical Capabilities:

Mandatory networking experience:
•    Certified CCNA R&S (CCNP preferred)
•    Cisco SDA/DNAC experience
•    Cisco SD-WAN: Meraki and/or Viptela
•    Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

 

Desirable networking experience:
•    Cisco CCNA security
•    Cisco ACI
•    VMware NSX-T
•    Tier One security vendor certification, one of: 
o    Checkpoint
o    Palo Alto
o    Fortinet
•    HP Aruba Wireless and Networking 
•    HP Aruba Clearpass 
•    Cisco Thousand Eyes
•    Cisco Devnet
•    IOT/OT networking experience

 

Desirable programmability experience:
•    Terraform
•    Ansible
•    Python
•    Jenkins
