The Industry Chief Technologist (Healthcare) provides real world experience and insight from the Healthcare sector to support and promote the relevance of Computacenter to our customers and partners within this marketplace. The ideal candidate will have had a successful career in the NHS health market, and will now be looking for a new challenge to apply those experiences into the shaping of our solutions and messaging, supporting our ambition to make the UK a better place to live and work. The role is pivotal in bridging the gap between industry problems and technology solutions, and as such will form a key part of our Office of the CTO (OCTO) function within the UK Business.
What you'll do
- To attend Customer opportunity / strategy meetings to understand and articulate business and technical strategy with senior audiences (CxO and equivalent).
- Acts as the voice of the customer, industry, and internal advocate by providing insights, feedback, and challenges from the customer to internal teams
- Establish or participate in formal healthcare agencies and organisations, recognised interest groups or forums (e.g. Round tables and other communities) to generate and share market relevant insight and position Computacenter credibility and capabilities into these audience
- Actively contribute to Computacenter’s propositions and go-to-market (GTM) approach by sharing experience, insight and feedback from customer engagements to shape new service capabilities and market opportunities
- Work closely with Vendors / Partners to keep up-to-date with current and future technologies, identifying relevance and applicability to supporting our healthcare strategy and outcomes
- Lead in the establishment of relevant ISV partnerships with leading technology organisations in the industry to identify partnership and growth opportunities
- Additional Detail
- Provide assistance to Solution Specialists and Account Management by helping identify and qualify solution opportunities including bid support as required
- Provide leadership and input into transformational sales opportunities within accounts
- Identify and diagnose customer requirements and problems, developing suitable solutions and proposals to resolve the customer challenge
- Actively contribute to Computacenter’s propositions and go-to-market (GTM) approach by sharing experience, insight and feedback from customer engagements to shape new service capabilities and market opportunities
- Work closely with Vendors / Partners to keep up-to-date with current and future technologies, identifying relevance and applicability to supporting our healthcare strategy and outcomes
- Lead in the establishment of relevant ISV partnerships with leading technology organisations in the industry to identify partnership and growth opportunities
- Create a number of specific deliverables to support the Healthcare strategy – including roadmaps, stakeholder maps, vendor maps to drive enhanced levels of customer access and engagement
- Research technology and deliver formal and informal Thought Leadership materials to promote Computacenter’s offerings and relevance in the market.
- Function as a proactive member of the Computacenter OCTO leadership team and Healthcare team
What you'll need
- Experience of building relationships at the highest levels within enterprise / NHS / Public Sector customers, becoming a trusted advisor on a technology basis.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, largescale transformational programmes
- Demonstrable experience in having previously identified and led cross working party initiatives through discovery, selection, implementation, and continuous review to assure customer satisfaction
- Commercially astute with experience of deal/solution governance processes.
- Ability to communicate well, including presenting to an external audience, both business and technical.
- Good people management, including the ability to lead large virtual teams across own and 3rd party organisations.
- Proven ability to produce documentation for a business and technical audience.
- Good problem determination and analysis skills.
- Strong team player with energy and dynamism.
- Personal flexibility & willingness to travel
