Life on the team

As customers move more of their Software, Infrastructure and Platforms into the cloud they need value added reseller partners to help them with the associated complexity challenge.  This is a critical role to influence the buildout of Software Service’s advanced consultancy portfolio to help customers to get clarity, control and drive optimisation. They will be the in-life service owner for a number of customer facing specialist and consultancy services.  They will drive the maturity of the services, the development of the practice and people and act as an evangelist with Sales to support the sale of this value-added service portfolio. They will also manage a global set of resources from a functional, people and development perspective.


What you’ll do

Lead a global team of specialists on a portfolio of Service Offerings that you will own in-life, including Spend Optimisation, Licence Advisory, Cloud / Consumption Billing and Software Asset Management best practice consultancy, amongst others. Having an analytical approach to driving robust data and identifying opportunities / get stuff done mentality to realise benefits for customers is essential.  Even more so being able to instil, drive and support a team of consultants to achieve this.  You will also own a key relationship with our global head of central operations whose analysts will support a number of your services.
Establishes departmental objectives 
•    Is accountable for the budget, performance and results of the Department
•    Develop and motivate team to help ensure the delivery of department and business targets
•    Provide effective leadership to drives change, innovation and growth across the Department and Service portfolio
•    Manages, develops and coaches team 
•    Take accountability for the delivery of significant business focused projects/deliverables to defined targets – This includes the build out, delivery, cost recovery and assurance of customer facing consultancy projects along with contractual commitments.
•    Accountable for overall budget/ P&L ensuring that spend is in line with budgetary limitations
•    Accountable for ensuring adoption of CC best practice and service offerings to ensure consistency of service.   

You’ll be the key custodian of the service offerings so the ability to hold firm on implementing our standards and maintaining adherence in life is critical to scalability.  Equally we will evolve the portfolio over time so continually reviewing lessons learned to ensure the standard offerings remain relevant is critical.
•    Ensuring any deals that we underpin are aligned to capability available and service standards. Ensuring all deals are priced with our costs to ensure full cost recovery

What you'll need
Demonstrable experience of working in a challenging commercial environment
•    Experience of working at a strategic level to enable the Department to perform effectively.
•    Previous Leadership experience– matrix / multi-location based teams
•    Understanding and appreciation of competitors and their strategy (doesn’t have to be in this space but the ability to assess, absorb and use knowledge strategically is)
•    Experience of running consultancy based services or experience of being a consultant in a large organisation with large scale programmes personally
•    Ideally experience Software leader with experience of Software Asset Management, Commercial Negotiation and Licence Management
•    Commercially astute Ability to identify performance opportunities and drive them through to realisation.
•    Excellent attention to detail
•    Business development skills
•    Desirable to have project management experience that could applied in the delivery of customer engagements

•    Ability to work with sales teams, service architects and service designers to ensure opportunities can utilise our standard service offerings in support of pre-sales consultancy
