A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a role as Operations Manager to join Computacenter’s dynamic and rapidly expanding Commercial Device Support organisation in Group Managed Service (GMS). CDS are a highly experienced, skilled team of centralised global subject matter experts working in collaboration with CC teams and partners to support and deliver end to end lifecycle services.
You will be responsible for the global inventory and movement of IT-devices for a range of CC customers to deliver on contractual requirements for our Device Lifecycle Management (DLM) service offering. You ensure the availability of the IT devices in CC central warehouses & Customer/Partner onsite Locations, addressing availability problems proactively. You will track all goods movements end to end and you are in close contact with the internal CC departments and customer accounts, as well the external partners who provide the logistics and warehouse services for CC.
What you’ll do
Stock Level Management
- Ensuring sufficient availability of IT devices in all appropriate stock locations by early detection of possible stock shortages
- Planning appropriate stock levels for stock location based on anticipated intervention rates
- Creating forecasts with input from the customer to proactively identify future order requirements
- Initiation of IT device orders & ensure availability and visibility on system
- Monitoring of throughput times in the respective storage locations at ticket level and taking measures in case of overruns
- Monitoring and comparison of the calculated and current intervention rates
- Produce / run / interpret monthly analytics data, apply logic-engines and define required action for relevant devices
- Management of onsite stock audits, comparing the IT device asset data in the systems and drive corrections and improvements
Team (functional responsibility)
- Collaborate with Operations Manager to enable sufficient processing
- Organization and implementation of regular operational interface and cross functional meetings
- Active participation in transition and project meetings, ensuring a timely flow of information
- Passing on knowledge standards and training and supporting new employees
What you’ll need
- Must have or be willing to obtain SC Security Clearance
- Professional experience or studies in a commercial or business administration position (at least 5 years of professional experience within the IT industry).
- Very good analytical skills and a pronounced understanding of numbers as well as the preparation and presentation of data
- Very good process, manufacturer and company knowledge in the field of maintenance
- High level of self-motivation and independent working style in the implementation of individual or team-oriented objectives
- Ability to make decisions and implement them quickly and sustainably strong, strategic thinking skills
- High level of problem-solving competence and solution-oriented approach as well as entrepreneurial and process-oriented thinking and acting
High degree of reliability, distinct ability to work in a team, resilience and flexibility even in stressful situations - Very good experience in the use of applications (SAP, MS Office applications (esp. Excel PowerPoint, Data Cubes, Access databases (Power BI)
- Strong communication skills (internal and external contact at all levels)
- Good time management and self-organisation, ability to work in a structured manner even under pressure
- Flexibility & willingness to travel
