We’re excited to announce that we are now looking to hire a Delivery Sector Director for our thriving Group Managed Services (GMS) organisation within Computacenter.
As a Delivery Sector Director (In-Life), you’ll be accountable for leading the delivery of contracted Run Services for a portfolio of accounts aligned to a sector.
You’ll contribute to the functional strategy whilst establishing sector-specific objectives and goals. You’ll create leadership and followership by leading and managing teams of people, both directly and through matrix management, and will develop and motivate teams to ensure the delivery of both functional and business targets.
You’ll implement and operate an effective governance model to ensure that services are delivered to satisfy both the customer’s and Computacenter’s required outcomes, including, but not limited to, service levels, customer satisfaction, and financial targets, as well as driving positive change in pursuit of service excellence.

Working within Group Managed Services and collaborating with our Services colleagues, Service Delivery Leadership are accountable for the quality of the service delivered to our customers. The cost to serve is aligned with the agreed baseline, and by challenging positively, our services remain relevant and competitive.
What you’ll do
Specific tasks include:
- Delivery Leadership: Lead the delivery of the contracted scope of IT services (Run Services) for your sector to achieve the compliancy targets and requirements associated with contracted service levels, contractual obligations, and service outcomes. Lead and drive the performance of internal and third-party delivery teams against agreed standards, service levels, and policies in support of the above, ensuring optimised customer satisfaction.
- Change Delivery Management: Support our Group Services colleagues during the delivery of Change Services (projects, programmes, and professional services engagements) through matrix leadership relevant to Group Delivery Services. Work alongside and support our Sales colleagues in this matrix leadership role to achieve contracted outcomes for both the customer and Computacenter.
- Business Leadership: In Account – Work with the Delivery Lead to support, socialise, and lead an account strategy and execution plan. Own the aspects related to Run, while supporting those related to Relationship Management and account growth, to support our Group Services colleagues.
- Contract Management: Support our Group Services colleagues in the negotiation and agreement of new contracts within the customer account.
- Relationship Management: Work in partnership with the Sector Director and Client Director(s) on the Relationship Strategy and stakeholder management activities for the account as agreed, representing Group Delivery.
- People Management: Perform all line management responsibilities for all direct reports. Ensure that your team, both direct and virtual, is appropriately motivated and engaged, and that individual performance is managed.
What you’ll need
- People Management experience: Experience in people management, setting clear direction, goals, and measures of success.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the IT industry and business applications, with good business acumen.
- Successful Management: Demonstrable success in leading an IT service organisation. Proven track record in managing large and complex contracts.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking skills and experience in escalation management and remediation.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills at all levels, negotiation skills, team orientation, and ideally, experience working with international teams.
- Resilience and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work effectively under pressure, with resilience and strong problem-solving skills.
