Customer Security Architect
Life on the team
As a Customer Security Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that technologies meet the necessary Security Architecture standards, secure by design principles, and fulfil customer accreditation requirements. You’ll work closely with customer security teams, technical SMEs, account teams and internal service teams to provide security architecture assurance across complex technology environments.

What you’ll do
- Provide security architecture assurance across technology solutions.
- Embed secure by design principles into customer and internal solutions.
- Define and document security architecture principles, standards and artefacts.
- Review technical designs to ensure security risks are identified, understood and mitigated.
- Support compliance, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Act as a Security Architecture subject matter expert, providing guidance on good practice, standards and frameworks.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements, risks and opportunities.
- Provide security architecture support across projects, service teams and customer engagements.
- Attend Design Advisory Boards, Security Working Groups and stakeholder meetings.
- Support risk-based activities and provide clear technical justification for security recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with technical SMEs, customer security teams, account teams and service management colleagues.
What you’ll need
- Strong experience in cyber security architecture across a broad range of technical disciplines.
- Experience delivering enterprise-level security architecture and design.
- A good understanding of security frameworks such as ISO, CIS, PCI-DSS, NCSC, SOC II and NIST.
- Knowledge of NIST SP800 series and JSP guidance.
- Experience reviewing technical designs and creating security architecture standards.
- The ability to understand and design advanced security architectures to mitigate complex risks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- An analytical approach to problem solving and risk management.
- Experience working in complex, time-critical technical environments.
- Knowledge of legislative and regulatory security requirements.
- Relevant cyber security certifications, affiliations or community involvement.
- The ability to hold Security Check (SC) clearance.
Desirable experience:
- CCP IA Architect certification.
- SABSA certification or experience.
- Experience working with Public Sector customers.
