Life on the team
We are looking for an enthusiastic Portfolio & Design (P&D) Content Manager to support the development and maintenance of high-quality IT Managed Services bid content.
So, what do we do?
The P&D Content team forms part of the Operational Excellence function within Portfolio & Design. We are a growing team, with the primary objective of supporting our colleagues by driving efficiency and quality in the Managed Services bidding process.
As a Content Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of a consistent Content Strategy across the Portfolio & Design team, with a focus on quality, accuracy and consistency. You will own and manage content relating to Computacenter’s Group Managed Services (GMS) and generate new responses for customer questions relating to these services, maintaining an effective network of key contacts within GMS and the Group Development function to support efficient content creation and management.
The role will suit someone who is experienced in bid writing, knowledge management, or who has previous IT industry experience and a strong understanding of Computacenter propositions and services. Candidates should have a desire to work in an autonomous role; taking responsibility for your own performance and helping to drive the adoption of our content management tooling.
What you’ll do
- Assimilate information extracted from Subject Matter Experts and re-write it into Q&A pairs/Responsive documents that are customer-centric and compelling
- Rewrite existing documentation where necessary, ensuring services are clearly articulated and can be easily integrated into bid proposals
- Generate new responses for Managed Services bid questions where none currently exist (e.g. for new and emerging customer requirements)
- Ensure responses going into Responsive follow Computacenter brand style and tone guidelines
- Refine and augment AI-generated content with relevant customer examples
- Review and curate previously submitted bid content and make available within Responsive - ensuring only high-quality content is fed back into the repository
- Act as an internal advocate for the knowledgebase within Responsive, helping to drive recognition, user adoption, and reputation for the system as a strategic asset
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships with Product Marketing and Service Product Owners to develop new bid ready content
What you'll need
- Bid writing and editing: strong command of grammar, tone and style
- Content curation: skilled in sourcing quality content and reshaping it for reuse
- Communication and collaboration: ability to communicate clearly and effectively to distil complex solution information from various SMEs
- Time management: ability to curate and review content quickly to reduce lag between new content creation and its availability for reuse
- Agility and stakeholder management: ability to quickly respond to internal customer requirements (from LDAs and Service Architects) and manage a network of internal stakeholders
- Aptitude for technology: keen interest in emerging IT trends, including AI. Candidate must half a self-starter attitude for learning new concepts and confidently identify where new technology/processes could be adopted
- Native-level English language
Previous experience
- Experience creating, reviewing and maintaining bid/sales content for similar organisations
- Desirable: knowledge and experience within the IT industry
- Desirable: proficiency in French and/or German language
- Desirable: experience in using Responsive / RFPIO response management software
