Team Leader

 

What the role is:

 

A new opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to work on a financial services account managing a team of schedulers and engineers that deliver services within a Data Centre environment.

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for managing and or reporting on elements of the delivery of services to one of Computacenter’s customers with a variety of responsibilities dependent on the scale and scope of the contractual service.

 

You will adhere to an effective governance model to ensure that a high level of quality and customer satisfaction are maintained, that issues are successfully managed and that the services meet their contractual performance targets.

 

You will work with stakeholders within the customer organisation to ensure that Computacenter are well represented, and that the customer understands the quality and value of the service we deliver. Third Party management is a key element in this position.

 

Where you’ll fit in:

  •             You’ll be part of the Delivery Leadership team for the account, normally reporting to a Customer Delivery Manager or Delivery Lead.  
  •             You’ll have clear areas of responsibility that may vary from time to time.
  •             You may supervise a small direct team; you’ll almost certainly work with a virtual (matrix) delivery organisation.
  •             You may have a role within the customer’s IT team.  Where we operate in an “ecosystem” of suppliers you may have engagement within those suppliers to work with.

          

The stuff you’ll do:

  •            Delivery Leadership

o             Produces and analyses management reports to allocate work and report on KPI/SLA trends

o             Resolves customer escalations in a timely manner to avoid disruption and minimise business impact

o             Plan and distributes workload if responsible for a direct team

o             Ensure appropriate skills in place if responsible for a direct team

o             Controls relevant costs lines in order to meet budgetary requirements

o             Ensure process and work instruction documentation is in place and up to date where appropriate

o             Act in accordance with and support Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks to the organisation

o             Supervise any induction activity if responsible for a direct team

o             Seek opportunities for improvements

o             Assist and support SIP activities and actions

  •            Change Delivery Management

o             Support our Group Services colleagues during the delivery of Change Services (projects/T&M) through matrix engagement relevant to Group Delivery Services

o             Adherence to the Change process on an account

  •             Contract Management

o             Understand the contractual obligations associated with lines of responsibility

o             Adherence to the contract management process employed on an account

  •             Financial Management

o             Controls relevant costs lines in order to meet budgetary requirements

  •             Relationship Management

o             Actively manage internal stakeholders on behalf of the account to secure and maintain ongoing engagement and support in delivery of contracted services (Run)

o             Engagement with customer stakeholders relevant to responsibility

  •            People Management

o             Perform Team Leader responsibilities for all Direct team members, including performance management

o             Adherence to Employee Engagement and Enablement strategy for the account

 

How you’ll be measured:

  •              You’ll have clear objectives which will be set and discussed regularly.  These are likely to include objective measures of Customer Satisfaction, delivery quality and financial performance.

 

What you’ll know:

  •             You’ll be experienced in line management
  •             You’ll understand the ITIL principles
  •             You’ll understand the principles of cost management

Previous experience working with Computacenter would be advantageous. Working within the finance sector would be preferable, including working within a Data Centre environment along with managing a geographically spread team.
