Life on the team
You’ll join a collaborative consultancy environment, working alongside security consultants, engineers, project teams, customers and technology partners.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of enterprise environments, including traditional IT estates, highly segmented networks, operational technology and regulated environments. You’ll have the opportunity to work with leading-edge endpoint and security technologies while helping shape Computacenter’s wider Tanium capability.
This is a hands-on Principal Consultant role where you’ll combine technical expertise, customer engagement and technical leadership.
What you’ll do
- Lead the design, deployment, configuration and optimisation of Tanium Cloud and on-premises environments
- Own technical workstreams from discovery and design through to implementation, testing and operational handover
- Translate customer requirements into secure, scalable and supportable Tanium solutions
- Work across Tanium capabilities including Asset, Discover, Patch, Deploy, Comply, Risk, Enforce, Performance, Provision, Investigate, Connect and Reporting
- Design and implement endpoint onboarding, targeting, RBAC, patching, software deployment and remediation processes
- Support migrations from legacy endpoint-management platforms such as SCCM, Ivanti and ManageEngine
- Develop high- and low-level designs, implementation plans, technical documentation and operating procedures
- Troubleshoot complex endpoint, network, firewall, proxy, certificate and platform connectivity issues
- Support vulnerability management, security hygiene and compliance improvement programmes
- Integrate Tanium with surrounding technologies such as ServiceNow, CMDB, identity and security platforms
- Lead customer workshops, design reviews, demonstrations and technical presentations
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and assurance to other consultants and engineers
- Identify and communicate technical risks, dependencies and delivery considerations
- Contribute reusable methodologies, standards and technical assets to strengthen Computacenter’s Tanium practice
What you’ll need
- Significant experience designing, implementing and operating Tanium within complex enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of endpoint management, endpoint security and enterprise IT operations
- Proven experience across multiple Tanium modules rather than purely sales or theoretical knowledge
- Experience deploying Tanium across Windows and Linux estates
- Strong understanding of endpoint connectivity, networking, certificates, firewalls, proxies and segmented environments
- Experience with enterprise patch management, software distribution and vulnerability management
- Strong understanding of security principles including least privilege, compliance and attack-surface reduction
- Experience producing customer-facing architecture, implementation and operational documentation
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to lead technical workstreams, manage competing priorities and operate independently
- Experience working within controlled environments with formal change, testing and governance processes
- Active SC clearance
- Current Tanium certification, with Tanium Certified Operator (TCO) as the preferred baseline
Desirable experience includes Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA), Tanium Cloud, PowerShell, REST APIs, SCCM migrations, ServiceNow integration, CIS/NIST/DISA STIG frameworks, Microsoft Intune/Defender/Entra ID and Linux.
If you’re looking for a role where you can combine hands-on Tanium expertise, security consultancy and technical leadership, we’d love to hear from you.
