Due to the continued growth and success across our software business, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Spend Optimisation Specialist. This role is instrumental to the success of the software services that Computacenter delivers to our customers.


Role Responsibility

  • A key focus for the role is to identify areas where our customers can save money when procuring software.
  • Responding to pricing requests and organising quotes from software suppliers.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with both software vendors and distributors.
  • Leading negotiations with software vendors and distributors.
  • Building cost models to identify savings opportunities.
  • Providing end-to-end ownership on sales opportunities working closely with both our internal sales team and our distribution partners.
  • Carrying out market research to find all relevant information required to optimize software opportunities and deliver cost savings back to customer.
  • Tracking savings for customer to communicate the value added
  • Helping to work towards organisational goals by owning and driving new requests and exploring opportunities to add value
  • Supporting requests from customers, partners, our internal sales teams, and other stakeholders
  • Liaising with internal and external partners to meet procurement objectives.
  • Work effectively with other business areas, in order to understand and address any issues. 


The ideal candidate

  • The successful individual will have a proven track record in software procurement or software licensing sales, ideally with 2-4 years’ experience within the industry.
  • A good understanding of procurement methodology.
  • Feels comfortable approaching & leading software negotiations with Software Vendors and Distribution partners.
  • Has a high level of attention to detail and diligence in order to ensure accurate pricing and detail is applied to software quotes and pricing options.
  • Excellent written, verbal Skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate with stakeholders up to C-Suite level?
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with good organisation, multitasking, and time management skills in order to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, to multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills with a track record in providing a consultative approach to customers challenges.
  • Excellent Excel and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to research and analyse information from multiple sources of information.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and ERP Systems.
  • Reliable and desirable work ethic, with a customer centric approach.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.
