We are seeking a Sales Specialist to join our thriving Platform & Hybrid IT sales team. Computacenter's offerings are developed around best of breed solutions with a Computacenter services wrap. The successful applicants will be responsible as subject matter experts to engage, understand, qualify, propose and lead the successful closure of identified public-cloud and next generation data centre solutions and service opportunities. 

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and own Public Cloud and Data Centre opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Own the growth of the Public Cloud and Data Centre footprint in aligned accounts
  • Work with the Account team to identify and qualify Public Cloud and Cloud Data Centre opportunities and develop pipeline within Customers
  • Assist the customer through a process of understanding their requirements, defining a solution, creating a compelling proposition, negotiating commercials and closing the deal
  • Manage virtual teams of Solution Leaders and Subject Matter Experts along with industry partners during the process of constructing solution offerings to customers which include multiple technologies, professional and contractual services
  • Show insight and thought leadership to our customers and partners regarding public and multi-cloud, FinOps and consumption models, and ‘as-a-Service’ infrastructure contracts and commercial agreements
  • Develop strong knowledge of industry trends by developing proactive professional relationships with technology partners
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to customers and maintain a strong presence in the platform and hybrid industry community

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience selling public cloud, consumption and ‘as-a-Service’ solutions
  • Experience selling professional services and contractual services
  • Professional experience in selling Data Centre solutions
  • Experience working with FTSE250 or Central Government customers at scale 
  • Proven experience operating as a Sales Specialist or other senior sales role  
  • Proven track record of regularly winning public cloud and data centre opportunities over £1m in size
  • Experience negotiating large, complex deals with multiple technologies and professional services
  • Ability to build relationships and develop strategic partnerships with customers, vendors and partners
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding targets
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated
