Role overview
As a Project Manager (PM1), you will be responsible for planning and controlling day-to-day activities in support of onsite customer projects and minor works. You will ensure delivery to time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives as defined by the Project Management team. The role also involves responding to customer scope and survey requests to enable accurate quotations.
This role is based on site at Heathrow 5 days per week. You will also be required to pass Airside Security Checks to be succesful.
What you'll do
- Deliver site-based project activities to agreed cost targets, in line with company objectives and standards, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Attend site to ensure works are completed to customer satisfaction and installation standards.
- Support the onsite Project Management team in maximising contract revenue through scope growth and variation orders.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company and customer processes, procedures, and statutory obligations.
- Provide timely resource and cost predictions, working closely with resource teams.
- Generate Risk Assessments and Method Statements to required standards.
- Submit and coordinate required permits to enable works within required timeframes.
- Provide professional project planning throughout the project lifecycle.
- Deliver timely and accurate internal and customer project reporting.
- Request and order required materials for each project in a timely manner.
- Operate at all times with regard to the Health & Safety of employees and third parties, ensuring compliance with company and statutory obligations.
What you'll need
- Supervisory experience in the structured cabling industry.
- Demonstrable experience of project management controls, including initiation, change management, risk management, project planning, and practical project delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of structured and optical cabling systems
- Ability to work within demanding time constraints.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Proven experience with Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Project).
- Strong technical understanding of structured cabling design and technologies.
- Articulate, self-starter with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge required to manage a safe construction site (SMSTS qualification or equivalent).
