We are seeking a Sales Specialist to join our thriving Datacenter and Cloud specialist sales team. Computacenter's offerings are developed around best of breed solutions with a Computacenter life time services wrap. The successful applicants will be responsible as subject matter experts to engage, understand, qualify, propose and lead the successful closure of identified Datacenter and cloud solutions or service opportunities. 

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with the Account team to identify Data Centre and Cloud opportunities and develop pipeline within customers
  • To provide end-to-end ownership for a specialist aligned opportunities on behalf of the DC business
  • Support the qualification process with the customer account teams
  • Assisting the customer through a process of understanding their requirements, defining a solution, creating a compelling proposition and will be responsible for negotiating commercials and closing the deal
  • Responsible for managing the internal service providers and any external suppliers
  • Evaluate contract spend in a given organization in order to optimize spending patterns, technology usage, and implementation strategies.   
  • Show insight and thought leadership to our customers and partners regarding Data Centre contracts and commercial agreements
  • Develop strong knowledge of industry trends by developing proactive professional relationships with vendor partners
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to customers and maintain a strong presence in the platform and hybrid industry community
  • Develop strategy to maximise opportunities and grow market share


The Ideal Candidate

  • Professional experience in selling Datacentre and cloud solutions
  • Proven experience operating as a specialist / overlay
  • Proven track record of winning data centre deals between £500k to £20million
  • Experience negotiating large, complex deals
  • Ability to build relationships and develop strategic partnerships
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding targets
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment
