The TRG team deliver full lifecycle maintenance services and on-site technical expertise covering a wide array of technology from workplace to network infrastructure and everything in between. You will be a customer Engineer will be providing hardware/software break fix, software installations and configuration in a desktop project. You will receive investment and development in form of accreditations and training.
You will need to be based in one of our customers in Mooregate but must flexible and willing to cover other customer accounts in London. There may also be some weekend work available (but this is not mandatory). Computacenter work with a multitude of financial and government organisations so it is essential that the suitable candidate would be able to pass security clearances once in role.
What you’ll do
- Provide basic to intermediate level desktop installation, configuration, support and troubleshooting services to customers onsite.
- Provide basic desktop support, offering simple fixes and fixing known errors.
- Software installations and configuration in an existing desktop infrastructure or pre-designed project and will be familiar with current Microsoft desktop Operating Systems.
- You will be dealing customers at all levels in relation to IT Projects and services.
- You will be managing tickets from customers in relations to hardware and software upgrades and faults.
- You will be booking in appointment with end customer and managing process through till tasks are completed.
- You will be working as part of a close-knit team to provide outstanding customer service.
- You will be working on site to deliver services and projects.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Previous experience of supporting Microsoft Applications.
- Previous desktop/laptop hardware and software support experience.
- Knowledge of Mobile devices and hand-held devices.
- Good administrative experience, attention to detail, ensures accuracy of data.
- Previous experience working in a corporate IT environment is desirable.
- Working knowledge of systems tools ITSM, SNOW would be desirable.
