Business Development Manager - VMware

Life on the team 


Partner Sales & Services is a sales function within the UK Solutions business responsible for the design and execution of the Sales & Services strategy with our Strategic partners. This is a collaborative function working in close alignment with Partner Management, Lines of Business and Solution Leaders. Our focus is to drive growth through execution of cohesive joint business plans, and to secure Computacenter as the preferred Route to Market for our strategic partners.


Reporting directly into the Head of Partner Sales and Services, the role will be working across all of Computacenter’s UKI Sectors to identify opportunities, drive profitable growth in revenue terms for both Technology, Professionals Services and Alliance partner consumption metrics. The goal is to ensure that Computacenter are the preferred “Route to Market” for the strategic partners in our target market customers to optimise our penetration into our target market and win new name customers and deliver sustainable growth to the organisation.


What you'll do


  • Design, build & execute Sales & Services strategy with strategic partner(s) in alignment with the needs & accountability of extended virtual team (including but not limited to: Partner Management, Lines of Business, Strategic Campaigns, Routes to Market, Sectors & country unit directives).
  • Manage CC portfolio for complex customer. situations in alignment with partner strategy and portfolio.
  • Focused on profitability, growth & services routes to market.
  • Qualify new services routes to market.
  • Understand requirements & engage X-line of business to explore upselling of existing contracts and developing of new business opportunities.
  • Leverage programs to maximize monetisation & be able to demonstrate business value.
  • Increase Efficiency with process automatization.  
  • Build a trustful and productive relationship to our Partners & internal stakeholders  
  • Work together with Sales Specialists for selling complex solution opportunities  
  • Act in accordance with Computacenter 
  • Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks to the organisation 


What you'll need


  • Graduate level education
  • Long experience in sales and management
  • Desired experience working with partner sales.
  • Comprehensive understanding of trends and technologies within the IT market
  • Understanding of Computacenter´s organisation and solutions
  • Experience of relevant business systems e.g. SAP
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Provide good customer service.
  • Good Administrative experience, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills and ability to build relationships and establish followship.
  • English fluent
