Production Supervisor

 

Overview

 

The Production Supervisor will play a key role in Computacenter’s Integration Center overseeing all production activities in a fast paced environment where change is the norm. The Production Supervisor must be competent and comprehend complex operations and be able to optimize day-to-day activities to minimize costs. Overall goal is to deliver defect free products in a profitable manner.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and are consistent with Winning Together values
  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
  • Check production output according to specifications.
  • Submit reports on performance and progress.
  • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.

 

Supervisory Duties:

 

  • Creates an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort.
  • Coaches and develops team members and resolves dysfunctional behaviors.
  • Maintains healthy group dynamics. Intervenes when necessary to help in resolving issues.
  • Assures that the team members have the necessary education and training to effectively participate on the team.
  • Encourages constant improvement.
  • Recognizes and celebrates team and individual accomplishments and exceptional performance.

 

Education & Experience:

 

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • 5 years of production experience in a integration or data center environment
  • AA degree or equivalent work experience
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States

 

Skills:

 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with results-driven approach
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and Knowledge of ERP system such as SAP.
