This exciting, frontline sales development programme is designed to help strengthen your strategic thinking, sales techniques and technical knowledge of IT, with clear career paths and purpose from the start.
 
The programme

Through carefully selected rotations across our key business functions, you’ll discover how we operate, how we develop long-term relationships with some of the world’s greatest organisations, and ultimately how we drive sales success.

 

Throughout the programme we will provide you with the essential skills and business acumen to become one of our world-class sales professionals who are at the front and centre of our business.

 

In partnership with trusted technology providers, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of both UK and international sales campaigns that enable success for our customers, many of whom make up the FTSE 100 and Fortune 500.

 

You will be prepared for a customer facing sales role by developing your people and sales skills, acquiring technical capability and a comprehensive understanding of IT solutions and products, and overall knowledge of the IT industry and the markets we serve.

 

Your potential role

If successful you will be aligned to one of our core business areas to help our Customers transform and manage their IT environment to support their business and users. After successful completion of the programme, you will become a Solution Sales Specialist, more detail of what the role entails can be found below. 

Main responsibilities include:

 

  • Working with the Account team to identify and qualify opportunities within your technology specialism and develop pipeline within Customers.
  • Providing end-to-end ownership for Specialist aligned opportunities on behalf of your technology area. 
  • Assisting the Customer through the full sales cycle including understanding their requirements, defining a solution, creating a compelling proposition, negotiating commercials and agreeing contracts
  • Managing the internal service providers and any external partners during the process of constructing solution offerings to customers which include multiple technologies, professional and contractual services
  • Evaluating contract spend in an organisation in order to optimise spending patterns, technology usage, and implementation strategies.   
  • Showing insight and thought leadership to our customers and partners regarding, consumption models and ‘as-a-Service’ contracts and commercial agreements
  • Developing strong knowledge of industry trends by building proactive professional relationships with technology partners
  • Developing a business strategy to maximise opportunities and grow market share

The right candidate will be self-motivated with a keen interest in technology and sales. They will have the ability and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communications skills, work well in a team and have the desire to succeed.
