The Transformation Change Lead will play a key role ensuring Computacenter’s Group IS function is correctly implemented into a new operating model and supported through its in-life operation. 


A critical part of Group IS divisional success is its transformation agenda.


The Change Lead position is the responsible for the programme management, governance and implementation and deployment of the Group IT Operating Model, along with close stakeholder management for all contributing functions.


What is the Group IS Transformation purpose?


The purpose of the transformation programme is to establish a modern, high performing organisation that is a great place to work ensuring that our main operating principles are organised, operated, and measured in a co-ordinated and common manner. The principles link organisational design, processes, systems, authority and governance and P&L design into an integrated approach. Each individual function is fully accountable how it works across its scope, typically many countries, but also how it delivers in conjunction with other functions through to our customers. 


What you’ll do


As Computacenter is constantly evolving and growing, the operating model must adapt too. Predominately, this role takes a significant position in managing the implementation of our Group IT Operating Model principles, process integration and functional re-organisation. They will work closely with the Group IS Leadership team. The position is required to control a completely unique thread which requires influence, education, and co-ordination between the leaders of the incoming change along with the support of the functional leaders and their centres of excellence – that set out how each function operates within its remit.


This is not limited to the organisational design, and extends to role mapping, boundaries of responsibility and authority, organisational controls and methods that support our culture at Computacenter. The Change Lead work closely with HR and many other functions to successfully move the entity to operate in a fully or partially compliant manner. This is sponsored and monitored by Steering Boards and the Group CIO directly. 


The role requires strong stakeholder management skills effective working closely with the Group IS leaders and their direct reports. The Change lead will demonstrate a strong track record in business change management or programme management to lead the change. Given that this involves change, empathy, and sensitivity to support staff through the significant organisation change curve is essential. 

The role may need to undertake business travel for short periods of time to lead the change along with embracing different country cultures, organisational ethos, and beliefs. 


What you’ll need


You will focus on the people, process, and continuous improvement side of change, including the impact to people of changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing the organisational change management plan and delivery that maximise employee adoption and minimise resistance. Ideally, you will, have direct supervisory responsibility, you will have to work through many others in the organization across the group to succeed including close co-operational with the Overall Change Programme team.

Roles & Responsibility:

  • Directly reporting into Director, office of the CIO
  • Lead change management at the organisational level
  • Organisational and role behavioural understanding and ensuring close alignment across functions.
  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications.
  • Close alignment with Design Authority of the target operating model as it evolves.
  • Assess the change impact.
  • Support / design training requirements
  • Identify, analyse, and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance.
  • Consult and coach project teams.
  • Support and engage senior leaders.
  • Coach managers and supervisors
  • Support organisational design and definition of roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate efforts with other specialists
  • Integrate change management activities into project plan.
  • Manage stakeholders.
  • Track and report issues
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
