Solution Assurance Manager

Your new role

The Solutions team within Group Information Services (GIS) are a team of solution managers responsible for helping the Computacenter sales team win new business, centered around Managed Services customers.

As solution assurance manager you will be responsible for portfolio management of pre sales projects, governance and assurance of solutions and providing forecasting pipeline information to GIS technical teams.

The solutions team create innovative cost-effective solutions integrating Computacenter and client systems to deliver Managed Service solutions.  They are responsible for designing the delivery scope of technical solutions within the sales cycle.  You will support the team of Solution Managers who work in a consultative role closely with sales and internal technical solution owners, driving a technical solution to meet business requirements in a pre-sales opportunity.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for Solution Governance and Assurance of the Cost model and SoW with the Solution Manager ensuring they have defined and scoped the most appropriate technical solution using well defined standard solutions
  • You will perform request management for of new requests across UK, France and Germany
  • You will be responsible for portfolio management of the Solutions team projects
  • You will be responsible for technical escalations
  • You will seek out improvements to governance and assurance within the Solutions team, drive their implementation and align with the Delivery team
  • You will be an assessor and signatory for Solution Assessment
  • You will own taking on new solutions and the associated process
  • You will host weekly technical pipeline update calls with the team to understand the scope and timeline of solutions and provide guidance when needed
  • You will contribute to the Solutions Team strategy sessions
  • You will attend regular pipeline calls with GIS technical owners and provide forecasting data of the pre sales projects which are in the more advanced stages of the sales cycle
  • You will own the cost model template and seek improvements with support from the team
  • You will own the Statement of Work Template and drive improvements with support from the team
  • You will support the team in understanding the customer requirement and identifying and managing Technical requirements outside of the standard solution
  • You will quickly develop a sound understanding of Computacenter’s tooling landscape
  • You will be able to provide a rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimate for a technical solution, including resource effort, providing stakeholders a guide on costs, which may then lead to further engagement
  • You will support the team with due diligence of the solution
  • You will actively participate in team meetings, proactively suggesting improvements to processes, helping to drive the team to constantly improve and innovate
  • You will build strong relationships within GIS, the sales team and other key stakeholders

 

What you need to be successful

 

  • You will have a proven record of Pre-sales, portfolio management and business analysis or consultative experience in IT managed services with demonstrable experience in clarifying requirements, understanding the commercials behind of a solution and validating the proposed solutions against standards
  • ITIL foundation certification
  • Prince2 foundation
  • Understanding of IT service management tools such as Service Desk tools, Avaya Contact Centre technologies, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and others
  • Understanding of B2B integrations
  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure including connectivity solutions, ADSL, MPLS, Internet VPN
  • Experience in writing Statement of Work documents including commercial elements
  • Ability to identify risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) associated with respective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive approach with the ability to independently find solutions to challenges
  • Experience in managing and developing an excellent relationship with a wide range of stakeholders
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and SME’s to ensure that the solution is deliverable and aligned to Computacenter’s standard
