Software Development Graduate Programme - Power Platforms

Job Introduction

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a recent Graduate to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding Consultancy Practice within Computacenter. The ideal candidate is likely to have recently graduated in a subject that is directly relevant to the IT Industry and software development specifically. The candidate will have some relevant work experience that may have come from an industrial placement.

Although specific experience is not expected, the candidate will be aligned to the growing Microsoft Power Platform capability that is being developed within the wider Consultancy Practice. The candidate will be given structured training in Power Platform and will develop applications using Power Apps. The candidate will also gain knowledge and experience of the other Power Platform capabilities, namely Power Automate, Power BI and Virtual Agents. Following graduation from the role the candidate will have the opportunity to develop and widen their skills across a variety of Workplace digital solutions.

 

Role Responsibility

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Work with customers to understand and document their specific application requirements
  • Develop Low Code applications (in Power Platform specifically)
  • Design report outputs using Power BI
  • Design and implement user interface
  • Integrate solutions into the wider Microsoft 365 suite of products
  • Plan, cost and schedule the delivery of applications
  • Support pre-sales activities such customer envisioning workshops

 

The Ideal Candidate

 

  • Completion of an IT related degree focused in software development
  • Completion of an Industrial Placement or job experience of 6 months minimum
  • Demonstrable understanding of the lifecycle of software development
  • An understanding of Agile project methodologies
  • Demonstrable experience of interfacing with customers
  • Experience of Power Platform (beneficial but not essential)  
  • Experience of the wider Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 Platforms (beneficial but not essential)
  • Ability to write software code
