Placed within our internal IT organisation we, we are now looking for a Senior Developer to join us. 

So, who are we?

Our BI Systems & Local Application Support team is a Global team consisting of 30 people working in India, UK and Germany providing data to internal business units. 

We might be Globally dispersed but we collaborate daily to ensure we provide first class services to our stakeholders within Computacenter.  Working as a Senior Developer you will be a critical not only in the delivery of reporting systems, but also fostering team members mentoring and developing skillsets.

What you’ll do

• As a Data Warehouse Senior Developer, you will be the first contact person when it comes to the technical analysis of complex reporting systems. 
• As an expert, you will maintain close contact with the entire Business Intelligence team and advise them on the expansion of existing products and their optimization. 
• In your role, you are responsible for the technical processes on the BI infrastructure and define their adaptation. 
• Code analysis is not a foreign word for you, but part of your workday. Your goal: the highest possible customer satisfaction and ensuring the competitiveness of our solutions.
• In your role, you will be responsible for the concept, modelling and implementation of sophisticated business intelligence solutions and support all phases of the development process (requirements analysis, design, technical development, report development, quality assurance, testing and deployment) using the latest Microsoft development tools and SQL Server versions.
• In cooperation with various teams, you ensure the ongoing production operation. In case of problems, you know technical and functional details and support a qualified third level support. 

What you’ll need

• You enjoy playing a decisive role in shaping the future of your team as well as the group-wide reporting platform.
• Good knowledge of database development and conceptual design, ideally in the Microsoft Business Intelligence environment
• Initial experience in cloud BI (Azure BI, Synapse) or ML and AI is an advantage.
• You are confident on a Microsoft Windows Server and know how to ensure the performance of a database system.
• Analytical thinking and a structured approach
• Enjoy working in an international team.
• Willingness to permanently develop personally and professionally.
• Very good English skills, strong communication skills on all levels and ideally experience in working with international teams.
• Technically oriented training and/or a corresponding degree, e.g., in (business) informatics
