Senior Data Analyst

About the role

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Asset, Config and Licencing practice in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The role is working for a fast-growing team which supports up to 14 different accounts with some customers having 300,000 assets. This is a hybrid role which would involve working from home and travel into our Hatfield office 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accuracy of data within the CMDB and data repositories
  • Maintain Cis to the required level of detail using discovery sources and other external input
  • Perform audit tasks
  • Complete work tasks both BAU and Non BAU as directed by Team Leader
  • Identify and then resolve data queries and exceptions. Respond to data escalations from (Data) Analyst
  • Resolution of escalated issues raised by Asset & Configuration Manager
  • Maintain Runbooks and Work instructions for each account
  • Produces the SMR for each account and delivers output to Asset & Configuration Manager
  • Maintains and knows the Customer Service Profile which includes the Service Plan
  • Collects and maintains Service entitlement for infrastructure devices to create a service position for each Configuration Customer
  • Controls and runs the unauthorised change process
  • Creation and maintenance of Service Impact Models
  • Identifies and manages any service/tooling issues to an appropriate resolution
  • Involvement in Service Tooling testing when required
  • Act in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks to the organisation

 

Key Skills

  • Experience in an IT environment with the ability to work in a multiple customer environment
  • ITIL Version 3 Accredited
  • Excellent Microsoft office suite skills, primarily to include excel, PowerPoint, Visio and word. Some knowledge of Access would be of benefit.
  • Proven experience within the Asset & Configuration discipline
  • Previous experience with CMBD, such as BMC Atrium
  • Previous experience with data discovery tooling, such as SCCM, Eracent or AD
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure / in a pressurised environment
  • Ability to own, address and resolve problems
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Some financial awareness – ensuring resource works within cost
