Life on the team
At Computacenter, our Internal IS Department plays a vital role in shaping the digital backbone of our business. As a Senior Analyst Programmer, you’ll be joining a close-knit, highly skilled team dedicated to building and supporting web applications that power operations across the company. This is a hybrid role, requiring two days per week onsite at our global headquarters in Hatfield. You’ll be part of a supportive team, enjoy a high level of autonomy, work with the latest technologies, and have the opportunity to shape the evolution of our internal systems.
If you’re passionate about well-structured, high-quality software and keen to work in a role that values both your analytical and development skills, you’ll thrive here.

- Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into well-engineered solutions
- Design, build, and test robust, scalable web applications using the latest Microsoft technologies
- Contribute to system integration, software builds, and deployment processes
- Document and maintain software in line with technical and quality standards
- Diagnose and resolve issues, taking ownership of problems and solutions
- Occasionally take on supervisory responsibilities and mentor junior team members
- Participate in an on-call rota to ensure 24/7 availability and system support
What you'll need
- Expert-level experience in C#, MVC (v5+), and .NET Core (6+)
- Strong front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, JSON, XML
- Proficiency with SQL Server including stored procedures, LINQ, and Entity Framework
- Experience building Windows Services, WCF, and Web API integrations
- Knowledge of Visual Studio 2017/2019/2022 and Azure DevOps (TFS/DevOps 2022)
- Ability to independently design, test, and implement solutions
- Professional communication skills and experience engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable skills
- Experience with .NET Core Razor Pages, Blazor, and Telerik Kendo UI
- Familiarity with Lambda expressions, LINQ, and Razor syntax
- Knowledge of SSIS, PowerShell, and modern CI/CD practices
- Understanding of change and incident management environments with strict SLAs
