Salesforce Platform Owner

 

A Salesforce Platform Owner is needed to join at exciting time. Reporting to the Head of Product and Sales Systems, the successful candidate will join the start of our Salesforce journey. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to share their experience and help shape the direction of the platform. We are seeking an experienced leader with a passion for technology to lead this function. 

 

Duties of the role:

 

The Salesforce Platform Owner will inherit a growing team, split between the UK and US. You will enjoy good collaboration with stakeholders and teams across multiple countries in different time zones. This role will be to drive the delivery of the platform, leveraging the full range of capabilities while ensuring a stable and supported service is delivered to our customer base.

 

Qualifications Experience

            •             Demonstrates a strong understanding of Salesforce platform and product capabilities coupled with hands on delivery experience

            •             Drive standards and processes to help accelerate implementations, improve quality and ensure the platform is scalable, maintainable and fit for future.

            •             You will have a strong input over architectural decisions, ensuring standards, quality and maintainability are kept at the highest standards.

            •             Oversee DevOps and Release Management.

            •             Ensures that changes the team deliver, align to best practices.

            •             Manage relationship with Salesforce and other related vendors.

            •             Manage vendor contracts and service escalations.

            •             Leads platform roadmap reviews and assessments.

            •             Detects opportunities to increase business value or minimizes operational costs by leveraging the Salesforce platform capabilities.

            •             Proactively identify and resolve problems.

            •             Stay abreast of industry technology innovations, new business practices, and third-party technology solutions

            •             Collaborates and communicates with the functional stakeholders in various business groups and IT.

            •             Requires Salesforce Administrator certification ( Advanced Administrator, App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant desirable)

 

The Ideal Candidate

            •             Minimum of 5 years leading a salesforce team supporting multiple salesforce clouds

            •             Proven track record of relevant expertise related to IT, Project Management and Change management processes.

            •             Knowledge of Salesforce CPQ is an advantage.

            •             Strong communication and presentation skills, getting stakeholder buy-in, presenting proposals to senior management

            •             Driver for results and champion of change while taking initiative

            •             Able to work closely with and motivate technical and business individuals

            •             Experience with Agile methodology

            •             Result oriented person with strong analytical skills

            •             Experience on how to communicate clearly under pressure and thrive to find solutions and compromises in these conditions

            •             English (fluent, verbally and written), any other European language is a plus

            •             Excellent written and verbal communication skills

            •             Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to conceptualize and communicate detailed technical concepts to mixed audiences

            •             Good understanding of Salesforce Solution design & architecture, data management and integrations.
