You’ll be joining our Group Information Systems team, helping to design, build and support integration solutions that keep our business systems connected and running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working with a range of stakeholders, and turning business requirements into reliable integration solutions. You’ll work closely with colleagues across IS development and support, as well as internal business teams, to deliver improvements that make a real difference.
This is a hybrid role based from our Hatfield office.
What you'll do
In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating, amending and supporting integration solutions in line with agreed specifications and standards. You’ll:
- Design, develop and implement integration solutions across internal systems
- Plan, develop and carry out testing to ensure high-quality, error-free delivery
- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve system issues after implementation
- Document your work clearly and consistently in line with agreed standards
- Work with internal customers to understand requirements and support service improvements
- Coordinate and implement system configuration changes
- Share improvement requests and feedback with development teams
- Prepare progress updates and work collaboratively with project managers and team leaders
- Keep up to date with relevant technical information and apply it quickly where needed
What you'll need
You’ll bring a logical, analytical approach to problem solving, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience developing integrations across A2A and B2B environments
- Strong knowledge of XML and JSON formats
- Capability in at least one programming or scripting language, such as ABAP, VB, C++, PowerShell, Groovy, XSLT, XQuery or SQL
- Experience with middleware applications and integration methods
- Knowledge of SAP PI, SAP BTP Integration Suite, SAP BTP Services or API Management
- An understanding of software development principles and methodologies
- Experience planning, creating and carrying out tests for programme components
- The ability to document system configuration requirements clearly and accurately
- A good understanding of business processes, ideally within procurement or ITIL management
- Strong English language skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Visio, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
It would also be great if you have experience with Agile or Scrum, integration monitoring and troubleshooting, JMS Queues, SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, EDI standards, cXML, xCBL, SuccessFactors integrations, SAP ECC, IDOCs or ProxyClasses.
