Computacenter, Europe’s largest independent IT business, are looking for a SAP Specialist within the SAP Sales, Purchasing and Logistics area.
In Computacenter the role of an SAP Specialist spans the traditional disciplines of business and systems analyst and often of a project manager. The role is therefore varied and challenging, giving the job holder the opportunity to take full responsibility for their project.
The ideal candidate will have a good background in all components within Sales & Distribution, Materials Management and Logistics. Knowledge in Customer Service (CS) module and contract management would be advantageous.
What you’ll do
- Act as a core member of an agile, dynamic focused team driven by business change and continuous improvement
- Collaboration with internal IS staff, Project Managers, and third-party suppliers
- Working towards taking ownership of a successful end to end system test and helping to manage a business test cycle through to a positive conclusion
- Provide the interface between business stakeholders and IS development teams, to elicit, challenge, prioritise and document requirements
- Ensure that systems development is consistent with the defined specifications and that cross-platform requirements deliverables are aligned effectively, to ensure smooth interaction between systems
- The role will require working from our Hatfield office at least one day per week - there will also be some UK and international travel required.
What you’ll bring
- Good all round technical experience of E2E Sales and Distribution, Materials Management and Logistics areas
- Experience of helping to implement and enhance solutions in these areas
- A good understanding of end-to-end business processes in an SAP environment, such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and Logistics
- Sound technical and analytical skills, with ability to interpret & present data clearly
- Strong problem-solving skills, being able to identify innovative yet practical solutions to complex problems
- Ability to be hands-on
- Ability to collaborate and work with other team members and cross functional in other areas of the business
- Integration experience/experience in cross platform development projects
- Strong commercial awareness and an ability to operate in commercially sensitive and important situations
- Strong communicator verbally and in writing, with keen listening skills
- Experience with working with third party providers
- Ability to prioritise competing demands and tasks
- Well organised, self-disciplined, and motivated.
